In school we were educated in the importance of hard work, of exercise, of diet, but we didn't receive a single lesson on the subject of our emotional wellbeing.
We've grown into a self-taught nation of unhelpful sound bites; “stiff upper lip”, “pull yourself together”, “man up”. A culture that has left one in four of us experiencing an emotional problem in a given year. A culture that's left us faking smiles, hiding our feelings and avoiding our thoughts.
At the Lancashire CBT Therapy Centre you're given the time and space to reflect on why you think and act as you do and the impact this has upon the way that you feel. I look forward to exploring it with you and helping you find your path to recovery.
